TuningBazar.bg is a niche online marketplace designed for the automotive tuning and motorsport community in Bulgaria. The platform allows enthusiasts, mechanics, and tuning shops to buy, sell, and exchange automotive parts, accessories, and performance equipment through a dedicated classified marketplace.
The system includes a responsive website and Flutter-based mobile applications for Android and iOS, enabling users to browse listings, publish ads, upload images, use advanced search filters, and communicate through an integrated messaging system.
The TuningBazar.bg mobile apps, published on both app stores as “TuningBazar.bg - Тунинг обяви”, allow users to manage listings, receive notifications, and connect with sellers directly from their smartphones.
The website serves as the central platform where users can explore listings, publish advertisements, read blog content, and engage with the automotive tuning community.
Partnership
WRTeam collaborated with TuningBazar BG EOOD to transform a general classifieds system into a specialized classified ads marketplace focused on automotive tuning and motorsport equipment.
The partnership involved multiple development phases, each introducing enhancements to improve marketplace usability, localization, payment systems, and community engagement.

Integrating a local payment provider (DSK Bank) required building a custom payment workflow compatible with both the website and mobile applications.
Image Upload & Performance Optimization
Automotive listings often include multiple high-resolution images. The system needed efficient image handling to avoid upload failures and maintain fast browsing speeds.

Solutions
DSK Bank Payment Integration
Implemented secure payment functionality allowing users to purchase featured advertisement packages directly through DSK Bank. Mobile apps support this flow through a secure web-based payment interface.
Advanced Photo Upload System
Users can upload multiple photos simultaneously and choose a main image afterward. Images are automatically resized and optimized to improve performance and reduce server load.
SEO-Friendly Slug Generation
Implemented automatic slug creation converting Cyrillic listing titles into search-friendly English URLs.
Messaging Notifications
Added in-app notifications and email alerts for new messages between users to improve response time and engagement.
Seller Rating & Review System
Users can submit ratings and reviews for sellers, creating a transparent marketplace environment and helping build trust within the community.
Promotional Package & Discount System
Built a flexible promo code system allowing users to apply discounts when purchasing featured advertisement packages.
Community Events Module
Developed an events module supporting both physical events using QR-code scanning and digital events with voting systems. This feature helps strengthen community interaction within the platform.
Localization Improvements
Enhanced Bulgarian language support across the platform, ensuring consistent translations, date formatting, and filter labels.
Currency Migration from BGN to EUR
The platform originally operated using the Bulgarian Lev (BGN). However, as of 1 January 2026, Bulgaria adopted the Euro (€ / EUR) as its official currency.
Since the marketplace system supports only a single currency, simply changing the currency symbol would not correctly convert existing listing prices. Our team developed a custom migration script that automatically converted all marketplace prices using the appropriate conversion rate.
The update included converting all listing prices from BGN to EUR, performing a maintenance update to apply the changes across the platform, and informing users about the currency transition. Sellers were also given the ability to review and manually adjust their listing prices if needed, ensuring a smooth and accurate transition without disrupting marketplace activity.
SEO Strategy & Website Optimization
Our team also implemented an SEO strategy for the website to improve organic search visibility. This included keyword research, on-page SEO optimization, technical improvements, and content recommendations designed to improve keyword rankings and attract targeted traffic from users searching for automotive tuning parts and motorsport-related products.
